Our mission is to create equity through the human voice, giving people the skills, confidence, and control to use their voice as a powerful tool for leadership and connection.

Our Story

Peacock Voices was born out of a desire to address the widespread miscommunication we saw in the world. Many people lack control over their speaking voice, leading to misunderstandings and missed opportunities.

CoFounder and CEO, Margaret Izard Oskoui, began her journey as a classical singer and vocal coach, but her work in speech opened her eyes to something profound: everyone deserves the right to shape their voice, to have it reflect who they truly are, and to use it as a tool for connection and leadership. This inspired her to create a set of exercises that translated the work she did on the operatic stage to easily applicable vocal techniques for leaders. These exercises can be applied everywhere from a one-on-one conversation to a presentation for 1000.

This belief became the foundation of Peacock Voices.

We give clients the skills, confidence, and control to find, use, and own their authentic voice. Our coaching focuses on specific vocal techniques through exercises that target sound and presentation. We believe that the power of your authentic voice is something all humans have the right to control—it's not something that just happens to you. Our goal is to help each individual find ease and sustainability in speech, allowing for flexibility and choice in vocal expression.

Margaret Izard Oskoui

Co-Founder & CEO

Margaret is a seasoned voice expert with over a decade of experience helping people harness the power of their voice with purpose and confidence. With a background in classical singing and experience working with diverse communities, Margaret realized that facilitating vocal journeys is her true calling. As CEO, Margaret's leadership, vision, and forward-thinking approach drive the success of Peacock Voices. Her dedication to empowering others through vocal mastery is the foundation of our work, helping clients communicate with authenticity, effectiveness, and impact. Margaret holds a BA in Music from Emory University and an MM in Voice from Roosevelt University. She apprenticed under renowned vocal teacher Alexandra Walker Lobianco and received specialized training in transgender speech from Liz Jackson Hearns at The Voice Lab in Chicago, IL.

Cassidy Smith

Co-Founder and COO

Cassidy brings her expertise in vocal technique and communication to empower leaders to speak with confidence and impact. With a diverse background in music, education, and customer service, Cassidy understands the transformative power of vocal presence. Her passion lies in helping underrepresented leaders find their voice and use it to elevate their leadership and inspire others. As COO, Cassidy's organizational skills and ability to execute are essential to the success of Peacock Voices. She oversees operations to ensure that our programs are efficient and that every client receives the support they need to thrive. Cassidy holds a BM from the University of Denver, where she studied with Voice Pathologist Kate Emerich, and a PD in Opera from Roosevelt University. She is committed to helping clients harness their authentic voice, whether in the boardroom, on stage, or in everyday life.
